Techno-Functional Business Analyst

We are seeking a skilled Techno-Functional Business Analyst with strong experience in Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) projects. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring accurate translation of business requirements into scalable data solutions.

Responsibilities

Business & Functional Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications and data requirements.
• Conduct requirement workshops, gap analysis, and impact analysis.
• Define KPIs, metrics, and reporting needs for business users.
• Prepare BRD, FRD, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Support UAT activities and ensure business sign-off.
  
  

Technical Responsibilities

• Work closely with data engineers and ETL developers on data mapping and transformation logic.
• Analyze source systems and define data extraction requirements.
• Understand and contribute to data modeling (Star/Snowflake schemas).
• Validate data pipelines, ETL processes, and data quality rules.
• Perform data analysis using SQL and support debugging of data issues.
• Ensure adherence to data governance and data quality standards.
  
  

Essential Skills

Functional Skills:

• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts (EDW, Data Marts, OLAP).
• Experience in requirement documentation (BRD, FRD).
• Knowledge of business domains (Banking, Insurance).
  
  

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in SQL (mandatory).
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools (ODI, Informatica, Talend, SSIS, etc.).
• Exposure to data modeling tools (Erwin, PowerDesigner, etc.).
• Experience with BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, Cognos, etc.).
• Understanding of data integration, data lineage, and metadata management.
  
  

Desired Skills

Good to Have:

• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP – especially data services).
• Knowledge of big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Cassandra).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Experience in data governance and compliance frameworks.
