Role Summary
We are looking for a Techno-Commercial Sales Manager to drive sales, adoption, and partnerships for Chimertech's dairy health and livestock technology solutions.
The role involves working with dairy farmers, veterinarians, milk collection centres, cooperatives, FPOs, farmer groups, rural franchises, NGOs, dairy companies, distributors, dealers, and institutional buyers.
The candidate should be able to explain technical solutions in simple language, conduct field demonstrations, build rural sales channels, manage partnerships, convert leads into revenue, and support customers after purchase.
Key Responsibilities
• Drive monthly and quarterly sales targets across assigned territories.
• Generate leads from farmers, vets, paravets, cooperatives, FPOs, farmer groups, milk collection centres, rural franchises, NGOs, distributors, and dairy companies.
• Conduct field demonstrations for dairy diagnostics, mastitis screening, reproductive health, hygiene, milk quality, and farm productivity solutions.
• Convert field visits, demos, camps, enquiries, and institutional discussions into purchase orders.
• Develop and manage distributors, dealers, veterinary stores, dairy input retailers, rural entrepreneurs, franchise partners, and milk collection networks.
• Build partnerships with cooperatives, FPOs, NGOs, CSR programs, dairy development organizations, and institutional buyers.
• Train farmers, veterinarians, field staff, franchise teams, milk collection centre operators, and channel partners.
• Ensure stock movement, repeat orders, payment collection, and customer follow-up.
• Prepare quotations, proposals, product presentations, and deployment plans.
• Organize farmer meetings, vet meetings, demo camps, exhibitions, and rural activation programs.
• Collect field feedback on product performance, pricing, usability, packaging, demand, and competitor activity.
• Maintain regular reports on visits, leads, demos, orders, collections, channel performance, and market trends.
Required Qualifications
Preferred background:
• Veterinary Science / Dairy Technology / Animal Science
• Biotechnology / Microbiology / Life Sciences
• Agriculture / Agribusiness / MBA Marketing
Candidates with strong field experience in veterinary, dairy, animal healthcare, agri-inputs, rural sales, institutional sales, or livestock technology may also apply.
Experience
Minimum: 3–6 years of techno-commercial sales experience.
Preferred experience in:
• Veterinary, dairy, or animal healthcare sales
• Rural distribution and channel sales
• Dairy diagnostics, farm equipment, or agri-tech
• Cooperatives, FPOs, NGOs, CSR, or institutional sales
• Franchise, dealer, or rural commerce networks
Required Skills
• Strong understanding of dairy farming, livestock health, and rural markets.
• Ability to explain technical solutions in simple, practical language.
• Field sales, channel development, and customer conversion skills.
• Experience working with farmers, cooperatives, FPOs, NGOs, and dairy institutions.
• Distributor and dealer management experience.
• Strong follow-up and payment collection discipline.
• Good communication in Tamil and English; Hindi is an added advantage.
• Willingness to travel extensively.
• Basic computer, reporting, and CRM skills.
