  • Play a critical role in ensuring commercially robust BESS solutions
  • Costing, vendor negotiations, bid evaluation, and contract structuring for BESS

Job Description

  • Lead techno-commercial assessment of BESS solutions for utility-scale renewable projects. Evaluate battery technologies (Li-ion, LFP, NMC, etc.), PCS, EMS, SCADA, and integration architecture.
  • Warranty structure (performance, throughput, degradation guarantees).
  • Grid compliance and integration architecture (PCS + EMS + SCADA interface clarity).
  • Prepare cost models including CAPEX, OPEX, augmentation planning, and lifecycle cost analysis.
  • Conduct financial sensitivity analysis (LCOS, IRR impact, degradation assumptions, warranties).
  • Develop detailed project cost estimates (equipment, BoP, civil, evacuation, logistics, taxes, duties).
  • Benchmark vendor pricing and build cost intelligence database.
  • OPEX assumptions and long-term service cost visibility.
  • Cost benchmarking vs market references.
  • Lead RFP preparation, technical clarifications, and bid comparisons.
  • Conduct techno-commercial negotiations with battery OEMs, EPC vendors, integrators, and suppliers.
  • Support contract finalization in coordination with legal teams.
  • Ensure commercial terms are aligned with execution milestones.
  • Support change order evaluation and commercial claims management.
  • Track cost deviations and recommend corrective measures.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's / Masters degree in Engineering.
  • Overall 15+ years of Renewable Energy, Power Infrastructure, with at least 3 years in BESS.
  • Prior experience in IPP/EPC/OEM / Energy Storage integrator preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record of leading high-value commercial negotiations.
  • Strong financial modeling and costing skills.
  • High ownership mindset with ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing technical and commercial aspects of energy projects.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
