Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Diagnostic Test Administration

  • Perform EKG/ECG, phonocardiogram, echocardiogram, and cardiac stress tests using appropriate diagnostic equipment.
  • Prepare patients for tests and explain procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation.

Patient Care & Support

  • Provide clear responses to patient inquiries regarding diagnostic procedures.
  • Monitor patients continuously during tests and promptly alert physicians to any abnormalities or critical readings.

Clinical & Procedural Assistance

  • Assist physicians during non-invasive cardiology procedures, ensuring accurate monitoring and patient safety.
  • Support scheduling of follow-up tests based on preliminary results and physician recommendations.

Equipment & Inventory Management

  • Maintain, clean, and calibrate all cardiological diagnostic equipment as per protocol.
  • Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues, reporting malfunctions promptly.
  • Track supply inventory and manage restocking of consumables.

Continuous Learning & Compliance

  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in cardiology and nuclear medicine by attending workshops, seminars, and relevant training sessions.
  • Participate in research activities and quality improvement initiatives when required.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards, infection control, and hospital protocols.
