Requirements
- Maintenance & Breakdown Management
- Ensure all critical and routine maintenance spares are ready and available for plant operations
- Take the lead during any plant equipment breakdown to diagnose issues and restore operations as quickly and safely as possible, following all SOPs, checklists, and safety protocols
- Perform mechanical maintenance on compounding line equipment, including:
- Extruders
- Pelletizers
- Pumps & Filters
- Scrubbers
- Shift Operations Support
- During shift hours, coordinate activities as directed by the Shift Supervisor
- Maintain proper logs of breakdowns, spares consumption, and maintenance tasks completed during the shift
- Ensure all maintenance work follows LOTO, PPE usage, and Work Permit System compliance
- Production Support
- Assist production technicians when maintenance workload is low, including:
- Packing
- Charging raw materials into hoppers
- Operating auxiliary equipment
The Ideal Candidate
- Hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance in a compounding line or similar manufacturing environment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
- Knowledge of pumps, extruders, filters, conveying systems, vacuum systems, and pelletizers
- Ability to work independently during shift operations
- Effective teamwork and communication skills
- Basic knowledge of SAP/CMMS (preferred)
Qualification & Experience
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 2-5 years of mechanical maintenance experience in compounding, polymer processing, chemical, or similar industries
- Experience in shift-based maintenance operations preferred
