UCT is looking for a talented Technician Lead to join us in Singapore!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Level 1:-
Assemble electronic and mechanical parts to build machines based on required specifications, drawings and work instruction.
Conduct functional and leak test, identify errors and conduct rework if required.
Report Operating Method Sheet error/gap and follow up on correction and closure.
Ensure full and efficient pass down to the next shift
Escalate up for any unresolve problems or abnormalities for resolution and assist supervisor to ensure manufacturing team work toward to meet manufacturing KPI (OTD, Safety, Quality, Cost) with comply to manufacturing work disciplines, regulations and company policies
Support other ad-hoc activities and tasking that assign by the superior
Level 2/3:-
To lead and guide a section of production staff to achieve productivity, on time delivery, quality objectives and departmental KPIs
To create work discipline and motivation to production staff.
Lead in continuous improvement activities
Train and guide new comers (Buddy System) and potential manufacturing lead
Collaborate with engineers in line issues problem solving and troubleshooting. Stand in for manufacturing supervisor on production issue discussion with cross functional team
Support production and any relevant ad hoc duties and tasking assign by the superior
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Able to communicate in simple English, both spoken and written.
Basic computer literacy for documentation, data entry, and system updates.
Hands-on experience in equipment assembly, manufacturing processes, and basic troubleshooting.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues effectively.
Adaptability to fast-paced production environments and changing priorities.
Educational/Certification Requirement:
NITEC / Higher NITEC/ Professional Certificate or its equivalent
Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics /Mechatronics/Engineering
Experience Requirement:
Able to read and comprehend electrical and mechanical drawings.
Willing to commit to shift patterns (Day and night) and perform overtime when required.
Able to carry heavy loads
Willing to work in a cleanroom environment, including wearing jumpsuits, safety helmets, and safety shoes.
Comfortable working in a rotating shift schedule.
Responsible, self-motivated, and able to interact well with team members.
Basic hands-on experience with assembly, testing, or manufacturing processes is preferred.
Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety guidelines, and quality standards consistently.
Work Experience:
2-4 years relevant experience in manufacturing/engineering industry
Experience in equipment assembly, testing, or production processes is preferred.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Work Environment: Clean room
Work Hours : 08:30am - 05:30pm / 08:30pm - 05:30am
Physical Demands : able to carry up to 20kg - due to need to push the machines or carry the material parts to the station
Environmental Exposure: Capital equipment manufacturing with sophisticate system integration & testing
