Job Summary -
As a Technical Writer Intern, you will work closely with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Leadership teams to create clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation. You will help translate complex technical concepts into content that delivers real business value and enhances the user experience.
This role offers hands-on exposure to product documentation, knowledge management, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced product environment.
Primary Accountabilities -
- Assist in creating and maintaining high-quality technical documentation including user guides, FAQs, release notes, and knowledge base articles.
- Simplify complex technical concepts into clear and engaging content for diverse audiences.
- Edit and proofread content to ensure consistency, clarity, and adherence to style guidelines.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, QA and Customer Success teams to gather information and validate documentation.
- Support the development of documentation in formats that best meet user needs (web, PDFs, internal tools).
- Participate in interviews and discussions with subject matter experts to understand product features and workflows.
- Help organize and structure knowledge assets within internal knowledge management systems.
- Ensure documentation aligns with product releases and timelines.
Best Fit Profile -
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic understanding of technical concepts or software products (preferred but not mandatory).
- Good editing and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to break down complex information into simple, user-friendly content.
- Strong willingness to learn and collaborate across teams.
- Familiarity with documentation tools (Google Docs, Notion, Confluence, etc.) is a plus.
- Exposure to content or knowledge management systems is an advantage.
- Interest in domains like Agri-tech is a bonus but not required.
- Awareness or exposure to AI-assisted writing tools and an interest in leveraging AI for documentation efficiency is a plus.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile workflows, and release processes is an advantage.
