Job Description
Role Objectives:
- Develop comprehensive technical documentation that meets organizational standards.
- Gain a deep understanding of products and services and translate complex information into straightforward, polished, and engaging content.
- Write user-friendly content that addresses the target audience's needs, turning insights into language for user success.
- Develop and maintain a repository of documentation reference materials.
- Evaluate existing content and develop methods for improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work under the guidance of senior technical writers and interact with subject matter experts to understand project requirements.
- Research, outline, write, and edit content.
- Collaborate with different teams to create end-user guides, API documentation, and deployment content.
- Determine the clearest and most logical way to present information for reader comprehension.
- Develop content in alternative media forms for maximum usability, maintaining a consistent voice across all documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Three to five years of experience as a technical writer.
- Previous experience in a software development environment.
- Highly skilled in the English language.
- Ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics.
- Excellent written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Working proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and MadCap Flare.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in communications or a technical field.
- Previous experience in the Financial Services sector.
- Basic image editing skills.
