Job Title: Technical Documentation/Writer

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated professional with around 3 years of experience in Automotive Aftermarket Spare Parts Information (SPI) to support the development and maintenance of parts catalogues for Trucks/Buses. The role involves working with engineering data, BOM structures, and PDM/PLM tools to ensure accurate and high-quality deliverables. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, handle engineering changes, and contribute to quality and process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage end-to-end creation and revision of spare parts catalogues using WINDCHILL or similar PDM/PLM/Authoring tools
  • Create and revise technical illustrations using tools such as CorelDRAW or similar software
  • Lead and execute engineering change workflows (DCN/ECN), ensuring accuracy and timely deliveries
  • Interpret complex engineering drawings, CAD data and BOM structures to develop and validate product information
  • Perform quality checks, identify recurring defects, and drive root cause analysis (RCA) with corrective and preventive actions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for data validation
  • Monitor workflow progress, prioritize tasks, and ensure adherence to project timelines.
  • Contribute to process improvements, standardization, and efficiency initiatives
  • Support mentoring/training of junior team members

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong experience in Automotive_Aftermarket - Parts Catalouge
  • Proficiency in PDM/PLM tools and workflow management
  • In-depth understanding of engineering drawings, BOM hierarchies, product strcture
  • Experience in quality processes, RCA, and continuous improvement practices
  • Good stakeholder management and coordination skills
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Effective communication skills in English C1 level
  • Experience in WINDCHILL (Partslink), CorelDRAW, Creo View, LISA, KOLA, RAPID, GLOOPS, EDB, SAFT, IMPACT is an added advantage

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Automotive Engineering or equivalent

Experience

Minimum 3 years of experience in:

  • Parts Catalogue / Technical Documentation within automotive or similar domain
  • Experience: 3-5 years in automotive as Techical Documentation.
