Job Summary
We are seeking a highly analytical and experienced Technical Writer (SaaS Expert) to join our digital growth team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex software architecture and user-facing clarity. You will be responsible for creating high-quality documentation, deep-dive product guides, API references, and SEO-optimized technical content that helps software-as-a-service platforms scale their user adoption and search footprint.
The ideal candidate does not just write—they understand software logic, product mechanics, and developer workflows, translating dense engineering concepts into crisp, scannable, and engaging copy.
Core Responsibilities
- Product Documentation: Write, edit, and maintain comprehensive user guides, documentation hubs, and troubleshooting knowledge bases for SaaS platforms.
- Developer & API Resources: Author clear API documentation, SDK guides, and integration tutorials that allow external developers to build on our platforms seamlessly.
- SEO-Driven Technical Content: Collaborate with the SEO team to research and write high-intent, low-competition technical blog articles, product comparisons, and cluster content that drives qualified traffic.
- Feature Release Management: Partner with Product Managers and Engineering teams to translate upcoming code releases and feature updates into clear, user-friendly Release Notes.
- Readability & Structure: Utilize strict semantic structures, clear headings, bulleted layouts, and data tables to make documentation highly scannable for both human readers and search engine crawlers.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work directly with UX/UI designers and front-end engineers to create visual process diagrams, flowcharts, and media alt-text to improve documentation time-on-page.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of professional experience as a Technical Writer, Content Engineer, or Product Documentation Specialist specifically within the SaaS, FinTech, or Cybersecurity sectors.
- Technical Literacy: Ability to read and understand basic code snippets (JSON, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Python, or Markdown syntax). Experience documenting RESTful APIs is a major plus.
- CMS & Tooling Mastery: Proven experience working with document systems and headless CMS platforms (e.g., GitBook, Readme.io, Docusaurus, WordPress, or Confluence).
- On-Page SEO Knowledge: A strong understanding of core on-page SEO principles, including search intent mapping, natural keyword integration, internal linking strategies, and metadata optimization.
- Analytical Mindset: Comfortable testing software products firsthand to understand user pain points before writing about them.
- Communication: Exceptional English writing, editing, and structural formatting skills, with a portfolio displaying clean, jargon-free technical guides.
