Job Requirements
We are seeking an experienced External Consultant to write documentation and its related processes using modern technologies like LaTeX, Git and many more. Translate complex engineering concepts into clear, usable documents for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
How You'll Make An Impact
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for SCADA software and network infrastructure, including:
- System architecture and topology diagrams
- Network configuration guides (switches, routers, firewalls)
- Communication protocols (e.g., IEC 60870-5-104, Modbus, OPC)
- Installation and commissioning manuals
- Cybersecurity and access control procedures
- End-user guides
- Bill of Materials
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (SCADA engineers, software developers, OT/IT teams, vendors) to gather source content
- Use documentation tools such as MS office, Visio, Markdown, Latex, XML/DITA, and version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Ensure consistency in format, terminology, and compliance with industry standards and company style guide/brand hub
- Regularly update documents based on system upgrades, regulatory changes, or new deployments
- Solid understanding of SCADA systems, industrial networking, and data acquisition principles
- Familiarity with wind turbine operations, control systems, and remote monitoring tools
- Strong grasp of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, IP routing)
- Proficiency in creating structured technical documents using tools like MS Office, Xmetal, Latex, Markdown or Sphinx
- Experience working in agile engineering environments and interpreting technical drawings and network schematics
