Job Description

Key Responsibilities

•    Author and update Operating Manuals & Procedures (OMP), encompassing daily plant operations, performance benchmarks, associated risks, and stakeholder roles. 

•    Ensure documentation aligns with quality and safety standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and OSHA 1910.119. 

•    Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, HSE, and operations teams to collect accurate inputs and validate technical content.

•    Organize and document process safety and risk assessments related to plant operating procedures. 

•    Facilitate clear rollout and implementation of manuals across sites to support training and operational consistency.

•    Lead periodic reviews, revisions, and version control to ensure manuals reflect evolving site and regulatory changes.

•    Conduct audits and inspections to verify compliance with operational standards and identify areas for improvement.

  • Provide training and guidance to personnel to foster awareness and adherence to operational procedures and best practices.

Required Qualifications

•    Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Petroleum, Chemical Engineering, or another relevant technical discipline.

•    Minimum 5 years of experience in oil & gas operations, process engineering, or technical documentation roles.

•    Proven mastery of manual writing, procedure development, and document control systems.

•    Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, OSHA, and other regulatory frameworks applicable to oil and gas operations. 

•    Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with multi-disciplinary teams.

Work Experience

  • Experience developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), commissioning, and maintenance manuals.
  • Hands-on experience in plant or oilfield environments with a comprehensive understanding of operational workflows.
  • Working knowledge of Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) studies, risk assessments, and incident investigation processes.
  • Excellent technical writing abilities and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with document management tools and version control software.
