Job Description: Technical Writer - for IT Projects

Position Overview
As a Technical Writer within our Risk and Quant domain, you will play a vital role in supporting IT professionals and organizations by producing high-quality consulting reports, technical assessments, and documentation. Your expertise in crafting clear, concise, and impactful documents will contribute to our mission of enabling IT professionals to thrive in their careers.

Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with IT Consultants , technical experts, and clients to gather insights, technical details, and requirements necessary for creating comprehensive consulting reports and assessments.
Leverage your extensive experience to craft well-structured and insightful consulting reports that address technical assessments, problem discovery, and recommend effective solutions.
Create and enhance a variety of technical documents, including but not limited to Design Documents, UML diagrams, Architecture Diagrams / Flowcharts, Process Documentation / Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Troubleshooting Guides, and User Guides / User Documentation.
Apply your deep understanding of technical concepts and IT industry trends to ensure accuracy, relevance, and clarity in all documentation produced.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to translate complex technical information into easily understandable content, catering to diverse audiences including technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Lead the development and maintenance of a centralized repository of technical documentation, ensuring consistency, version control, and accessibility.
Conduct interviews and workshops with technical subject matter experts to extract critical information and insights for inclusion in technical assessments and documentation.
Keep abreast of industry best practices and evolving trends in technical documentation to continuously enhance the quality and effectiveness of our deliverables.

Qualifications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
5-8 years of proven experience as a Technical Writer, with a significant focus on writing consulting reports for technical assessments and problem discovery within the IT industry.
Proficiency in creating various technical documents, including Design Documents, UML diagrams, Architecture Diagrams / Flowcharts, SOPs, Troubleshooting Guides, and User Guides.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to dissect complex technical concepts and translate them into clear and actionable documentation.
Proficiency in tools commonly used for technical writing and documentation, such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Wireframe software.
Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, error-free documentation.
Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
A portfolio showcasing your work, including samples of consulting reports and technical documentation, is highly desirable.
