As a technical writer, you are responsible for technical writing of different product categories within Philips Personal Health, Grooming & Beauty. In this role, 80% of the communication is in English. Together with Innovation, Engineering, Product Research and Marketing, you convert the input provided into clear English user manuals and other digital content. You use existing texts and pictures to create and update content on assigned touchpoints (print and/or online).

In parallel you are co-creating online support pages by providing knowledge articles and other relevant post purchase user content. For this task you will closely work together with the Consumer Care teams.

As a technical writer, you will be working on several projects at the same time. Within the project team, it is your responsibility to ensure that the artwork of the user manual is delivered before the set deadline. You are also responsible for uploading user manuals onto the Philips website.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Create and update well-structured clear user content. Maximum re-use of existing content.
• Use relevant guidelines and style guide
• Ensure compliance with international legal standards, regulatory requirements
• Give instructions to and managing external contacts: illustrators, localization for digital content,translation agency and DTP agency. Or build this competency yourselves.
• Coordinate end-to-end translation workflows with external language agencies across multiple geographies.Review and validate translated content for Linguistic accuracy,Technical correctness,Regulatory compliance (especially IFUs and user manuals)
• Ensure consistency in terminology, tone, and brand voice across all languages.
• Advise and support other departments within Philips to create accurate, compliant and user-friendly content.
• Collaborate closely with mobile application development teams supporting connected devices.
• Ensure alignment between product documentation and in-app content.
• Monitor customer issues related to accessing product information via apps for Content clarity or avoiding inconsistencies

Job requirements:

• Bacheloru2019s degree in Engineering, Technical Communication, or related field
• 5u201310 years of strong experience in technical writing, editing, localization & translation workflows, documentation management
• Experience in consumer products, medical devices, or personal care industry preferred
• Exposure to mobile app content or digital product ecosystems is a plus
• Engineering skills and familiarity with IT tools such as PTC Windchill.
