Avconexpo is hiring an experienced Technical Writer to work on-site in Qatar for our Edible Oil Refinery Testing & Commissioning (T&C) and Integrated Performance Testing (IPT) project.
The role involves preparing, organizing, and finalizing all technical documentation related to commissioning, QA/QC, and project handover.
This is a project-based assignment requiring strong engineering documentation skills and coordination with the technical, QA/QC, and commissioning teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY -
- Prepare, write, and format technical documents, including commissioning reports, test sheets, PTMS/IPT documentation, and QA/QC records.
- Develop and compile O&M Manuals, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and training documents.
- Work closely with the Project Coordinator,Documentation Head, Commissioning Engineers, and client representatives to gather technical inputs.
- Review engineering data, equipment specifications, and test results to ensure accuracy and clarity in documentation.
- Ensure all documents follow project templates, client standards, and revision control processes.
- Support the creation of handover dossiers, as-built documentation, and final submission sets.
- Manage digital files, maintain documentation logs, and ensure timely submission to the client/PMC.
- Coordinate with multiple departments and ensure compliance with project timelines.
REQUIREMENT-
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation) or Technical Writing or equivalent.
- 37 years of experience in technical writing for EPC, refinery, process plant, or commissioning projects.
- Strong command of English, with excellent technical writing and documentation skills.
- Experience with engineering drawings, technical datasheets, and commissioning procedures.
- Familiarity with DMS tools (Aconex, SmartPlant, SharePoint) is an advantage.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-disciplinary project environments.
- Prior GCC or Qatar experience preferred (not mandatory).
