Job description: Technical Training
Location: Yelahanka, Bangalore
About The Gig
The Master Technical Trainer will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing technical training programs. You will be the Subject Matter Expert on EV architecture, battery systems, and drivetrain technology, bridging the gap between engineering and the end-user service experience.
What You'll Do
- Capability Building:Conducting various Product & Service Training programmes for our internal associates and dealer manpower through classroom & virtual sessions.
- Training Strategy & Design: Develop & implement comprehensive technical training curriculum covering EV architecture,mechanical components, safety standards, Battery Management Systems (BMS), motor controllers,CAN and software diagnostics at different levels.
- Hands-on Technical Training: Lead practical training on the overhauling of major components (Motor, Battery Pack, Transmission,mechanical components) and advanced troubleshooting of electrical/mechanical faults.
- Training coverage: Preparation of Training Calendar and its implementation.
- Manpower Training certification : Assessment & certification of training manpower.
- Training Centre Readiness & Expansion initiatives: Manage the Training centre readiness, assets & documents as per the standards.
- Multilingual Delivery: Facilitate training sessions in multiple South Indian languages (Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam) to ensure effective knowledge transfer to regional dealership staff. Proficiency in Hindi is a plus.
- SOP Development: Collaborate with the technical team to create Manuals, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and technical bulletins for new product launches and OTA updates.
- Preparation of updated manpower data: Monitor the training status and attrition month on month at zone level.
- Performance Tracking: Conduct regular skill-gap analyses and technical audits at dealerships to understand need analysis & ensure service quality aligns with Simpleenergy standards.
- LMS Management: Implement and manage the Learning Management System (LMS) to host e-learning modules, track technician certifications, and monitor training progress across India.
- TTT: Conduct Train The Trainer programs as per the requirements.
What You Bring
- Bachelors degree in any discipline (preferably in Business, Engineering, or Marketing).
- MBA/PGDM in Sales, Marketing, or HR (preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in sales training, preferably in automotive, EV, or consumer durables.
- Hands-on experience training dealership staff or channel sales teams.
- Exposure to electric vehicle products, customer behavior, and competitive landscape.
Required Skills & Competencies
- EV Expertise: Deep understanding of EV-specific components & Architecture, including Li-ion battery, PMSM motors, and power electronics.
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on expertise in vehicle diagnostics, wiring harness troubleshooting, and component-level repair.
- LMS Proficiency: Prior experience working with e-learning platforms and LMS administration.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English and at least two or three South Indian languages (Kannada/Tamil/Telugu/Malayalam) is mandatory. Proficiency in Hindi is a plus.
- Certification: Professional training certifications will be a significant advantage.
