Job Title: Service Now Subject Matter Expert

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled ServiceNow Subject Matter Expert (SME) with deep hands-on experience across key modules to support the development of high-impact training content. This role focuses on shaping curriculum, designing practical labs and assessments, and contributing technical expertise to ensure our learning programs are accurate, current, and implementation-ready. The position is fully remote with flexible hours, ideal for professionals who enjoy working independently and collaboratively across teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the SME for ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CMDB, Service Portal, etc.
  • Partner with instructional designers and content developers to build, review, and refine curriculum, labs, exercises, and assessments.
  • Translate platform capabilities and real-world use cases into learning content that supports multiple learner levels.
  • Continuously monitor ServiceNow updates and ensure the curriculum reflects the latest features, functionalities, and best practices.
  • Draft technical documentation, guides, and supplemental materials to support course objectives.
  • Review and validate content for technical accuracy, relevance, and applicability.
  • Provide insights on how content aligns with current industry needs and client priorities.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow in an implementation, configuration, or administrative capacity.
  • Deep functional and technical knowledge of ServiceNow architecture and key modules.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., designers, engineers, or content creators).
  • Ability to clearly articulate complex ServiceNow concepts and workflows in written format.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to content accuracy.
  • Self-directed and reliable in a remote, asynchronous work environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience delivering instructor-led or virtual ServiceNow training sessions.
  • Prior involvement in instructional design or content development.
  • ServiceNow certifications (e.g., CSA, CIS, CAD).
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles and learning management systems (LMS).
  • Proficiency with eLearning tools such as Articulate, Rise, or similar platforms.
