Role Description C4i4 Lab, Pune is looking for a Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) & IoT Trainer / Faculty to prepare students and industry professionals for the future of smart manufacturing and connected industrial systems. This role exists to bring Industry 4.0 technologies into classrooms and training programs through hands-on laboratory training and project-based learning. Working on deputation at academic institutions and industry client sites, you will help learners understand how physical systems, embedded computing and networks come together in real industrial applications. In doing so, you will directly support C4i4 Lab mission of bridging academia and industry.

Qualifications :

(Must-Haves)

• Education: Postgraduate degree (M.E. / M.Tech. / M.Sc. or equivalent) in Electronics, Electrical

Engineering, Instrumentation, Embedded Systems, IoT, Mechatronics, Robotics, Control

Systems or a related discipline.

• Ph.D. (pursuing or completed); exposure to Industry 4.0 applications, smart

manufacturing, industrial IoT, automation or applied research.

• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of Cyber-Physical Systems, IoT, embedded systems,

sensors and actuators, microcontrollers, communication protocols and industrial automation;

hands-on experience with Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, PLCs, MQTT, Modbus, sensor

interfacing and data acquisition.

• Soft Skills: Strong communication, presentation, mentoring and stakeholder-management

skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and run interactive sessions for academic and industry audiences.

(Nice-to-Haves) :

• Experience: Prior teaching, corporate or technical training, research or laboratory instruction

experience is encouraged, along with practical experience in IoT-based monitoring and control

systems.

Core Responsibilities & Duties

• Deliver lectures, workshops and hands-on practicals on Cyber-Physical Systems, Industrial IoT,

Embedded Systems, Sensors, Data Acquisition and Industrial Automation for students and

industry professionals.

• Design, demonstrate and facilitate experiments using microcontrollers, sensors, actuators,

communication protocols, IoT platforms and PLCs.

• Guide learners through real-world projects involving sensor integration, device connectivity,

real-time data acquisition, monitoring and control.

• Demonstrate the integration of physical systems with embedded computing, networks, sensing

and control in smart, connected industrial systems.

• Develop curricula, course materials, laboratory manuals and project-based learning modules

aligned with emerging cyber-physical technologies.

• Conduct practical assessments, evaluate learner projects and mentor participants.

• Support the deployment and demonstration of CPS technologies and laboratory infrastructure

at partner institutions and industry sites.

• Collaborate with faculty, industry clients and subject experts to bridge theory and industrial

practice, including customized corporate training.
