Black & Grey HR is hiring an experienced Technical Team Leader on behalf of a leading construction contracting company (UAE-based) for their office in Bangalore, India. The role involves leading and managing technical engineering activities across multiple projects, ensuring design coordination, constructability, compliance with project standards, and high-quality technical deliverables. The Technical Team Leader will play a key role in supporting BIM implementation, QA/QC processes, and multidisciplinary coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the technical engineering team across various construction projects.
- Review and oversee architectural, structural, and MEP design packages to ensure coordination and constructability.
- Ensure all technical documentation complies with project specifications, local authority regulations, and industry standards.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and internal departments regarding technical and design matters.
- Support BIM coordination and ensure proper implementation of BIM standards and workflows.
- Oversee QA/QC processes related to technical submissions, shop drawings, and project documentation.
- Identify and resolve design conflicts, technical challenges, and coordination issues during project execution.
- Review and approve technical submissions, RFIs, shop drawings, and material submittals.
- Monitor project timelines and ensure timely delivery of technical deliverables.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to junior engineers and technical staff.
- Participate in technical meetings and represent the technical department in project discussions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in technical design management within the construction industry.
- Strong experience in design coordination, technical reviews, and multidisciplinary project execution.
- Good understanding of BIM processes, QA/QC standards, and construction methodologies.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit/BIM workflows.
- Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
- UAE/GCC construction project experience is preferred.
