Job Description

Role Summary

The Technical Team Lead will be responsible for leading implementation, migration, and project excellence of large‑scale SD‑WAN, LAN, and WAN environments for global customers. The role requires strong hands‑on technical expertise, customer‑facing leadership, and the ability to guide and mentor engineers while ensuring delivery within SLA, quality, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

  • Lead end‑to‑end SD‑WAN implementations and migrations.
  • Provide hands‑on expertise on SD‑WAN (Versa/Cisco) and exposure to Fortinet / Meraki is an added advantage.
  • Design, review, and validate HLD, LLD, Migration Plans, Runbooks, and Implementation documents.
  • Support complex L3/L2 troubleshooting.

Delivery & Implementation

  • Act as technical SPOC for critical customer escalations and high‑severity incidents.
  • Ensure adherence to change management, CAB approvals, and deployment best practices.
  • Drive stability, risk reduction, RCA closure, and continuous service improvement.
  • Coordinate with vendors for advanced troubleshooting and escalations.

People & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead and mentor L2/L3 engineers, conduct technical reviews, and guide skill development.
  • Effectively communicate with global customers, project managers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in interviews, onboarding, and technical grooming of new team members.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction (CSAT) through proactive communication and strong technical delivery.

Technical Skills (Mandatory)

  • Hands‑on experience on SD‑WAN.
  • Understanding of SD‑WAN architecture, policies, underlay/overlay design
  • Routing & Switching: BGP, OSPF, VRF, VLAN, STP, HSRP/VRRP, IPsec
  • Experience with LAN, WLAN, WAN transformations
  • Exposure to Cloud connectivity (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus

Soft Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent communication and customer handling skills
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset
  • Ability to lead technically under pressure and handle critical escalations
  • Ownership‑driven with focus on quality, timelines, and risk management

Experience & Education

  • 15–18 years of overall experience in Network Engineering / Implementation.
  • At least 4–5 years in a Technical Lead or SME role
  • CCNP / SD‑WAN certificationpreferred (CCIE is an advantage)
