Key responsibilities of a Technical Systems Analyst

1. Systems Analysis and Evaluation

• Analyse existing IT systems, applications, and infrastructure.
• Identify system issues, performance gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
• Evaluate technical requirements and recommend suitable solutions.

2. Requirements Gathering

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and IT teams.
• Gather and document functional and technical requirements.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications.

3. System Design and Integration

• Support system architecture, configuration, and implementation.
• Analyse integrations between applications, databases, APIs, and third-party systems.
• Ensure compatibility between new and existing systems.

4. Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution

• Investigate system errors, application failures, and technical incidents.
• Perform root-cause analysis and coordinate corrective actions.
• Work with development and infrastructure teams to resolve recurring problems.

5. Testing and Quality Assurance

• Prepare test scenarios and validate system functionality.
• Coordinate system integration testing and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Document defects and verify fixes before deployment.
