1.About GSS

Global Spares Supply (GSS) provides all the spares, tools and field support that are needed to perform maintenance that exceeds our customers expectations. Cost effectively and on time.

  • Quality spare parts for elevators, escalators and automatic building doors
  • KONE parts, commercial parts, strategic parts, competitor parts (non-KONE)
  • Tools, personal protective equipment (PPE) and working clothes

2.Why this role

We are seeking this role to provide technical assistance to field teams and support the lifecycle of elevator, escalator, and building door products. This role combines hands-on technical knowledge with digital tools and data management to drive efficiency, ensure material data quality, and deliver high-quality spare technical solutions across global operations.

3.What will you be doing

  • Provide spares technical support to service technicians/frontlines.
  • Recommend material replacements and validate technical data
  • Support frontlines in material identification based on products.
  • RFQ processes, supplier suggestions, and quality improvements
  • Manage engineering change requests and coordinate with R&D.
  • To generate new ideas for process developments
  • Enhance automation through tools like MS Excel Macros, Power BI, SQL, and RPA

4.Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of SAP, PDM/PLM systems, and BOM interpretation
  • Familiarity with elevator, escalator and building door products
  • Proficiency in O365, SharePoint, and engineering drawing tools
  • Effective communication in English and ability to work independently
  • Understanding of supply chain, material, and master data processes.

5.Preferred Skills:

  • Design skills using Creo, AutoCAD, or ProgeCAD
  • Process automation tools: MS Excel Macros, SQL, Power BI, RPA
  • Installation and commissioning field experience
  • Adobe tools and experience in digital documentation.

6.Are you the one

  • BE in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in technical support and product lifecycle management
  • Detail-oriented, innovative, and proactive in solving technical challenges
  • Comfortable working in a virtual, cross-functional global team environment
  • Self-starter with a drive to improve processes and support field operations
