Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • The intern will be part of a sub-team within the Remote Technical Support team, supporting the service structure and serviceability of IBM Power Server hardware products.
  • Assist in designing and executing productivity tools and aids required for the support infrastructure.
  • Gain hands-on experience with the technical complexity of Power Server machines and understand customer expectations from IBM support.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve processes, tools, and documentation related to hardware support.
  • Apply fundamental engineering knowledge to troubleshoot hardware issues and assist in technical tasks.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise:

  • Passion for a career in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
  • Fundamental education in software design and/or testing
  • Knowledge of Computer Architecture
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Assembly
  • Strong debugging skills
  • Scripting knowledge in Python, JavaScript, Perl, Bash, etc.
  • Strong communication skills
