Job SummaryThe Technical Support Engineer is responsible for providing technical assistance, troubleshooting, maintenance, and support for CCTV systems, access control solutions, and fire alarm systems. The role requires close coordination with clients, field technicians, and internal teams to ensure timely issue resolution and optimal system performance.
Key Responsibilities- Install, configure, and troubleshoot CCTV, access control, and fire alarm systems.
- Diagnose system errors and provide on-site or remote technical support.
- Perform preventive maintenance and system upgrades.
- Collaborate with field service teams and ensure timely resolution of client concerns.
- Maintain service reports and technical documentation.
- Conduct training and demonstrations for clients when required.
Required Skills & Qualifications- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, IT, or a related field.
- 25 years of experience in CCTV, access control, and fire alarm systems.
- Strong knowledge of IP CCTV systems (NVR/DVR, cameras, VMS).
- Experience with access control panels, card/bio readers, and door hardware.
- Hands-on knowledge of fire alarm panels, detectors, and emergency systems.
- Understanding of basic networking (IP addressing, switches, routers, cabling, PoE).
- Ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Valid driver's license (preferred).
Working Conditions- On-site field visits may be required.
- On-call support for emergency breakdowns.
- Physical handling of equipment during installation or service tasks.
