About The Role
We are looking for an experienced
Technical Specialist (OpenShift L2) to provide advanced Level 2 support for enterprise Red Hat OpenShift environments. The role involves managing and troubleshooting production OpenShift clusters, supporting application deployments, cluster operations, networking, storage, security, upgrades, and high-availability environments.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with OpenShift administration and troubleshooting, along with the ability to work in a 24×7 enterprise production support environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced L2 support for Red Hat OpenShift clusters in production environments.
- Troubleshoot complex issues involving Pods, Deployments, Networking, Routing, and Storage.
- Perform detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor cluster health using built-in OpenShift observability tools and must-gather packages.
- Manage application deployments, scaling, rollouts, and application lifecycle operations.
- Collaborate with L1 teams, Developers, and cross-functional technical teams for effective issue resolution.
- Manage multi-cluster environments using OpenShift Advanced Cluster Management (ACM).
- Maintain system security alignment through Security Context Constraints (SCCs), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and policy enforcement.
- Support rolling upgrades, patching, cluster maintenance, and high-availability operations.
- Monitor and maintain OpenShift cluster performance, availability, and reliability.
- Troubleshoot application and platform-level issues in production environments.
- Support continuous improvement of OpenShift operational processes and best practices.
Required Skills- Strong hands-on experience in Red Hat OpenShift administration and L2 production support.
- Experience working with:
- Pods, ReplicaSets, Deployments, and StatefulSets
- Services such as ClusterIP, NodePort, and LoadBalancer
- OpenShift Routes and HAProxy
- Namespaces, RBAC, and SCCs
- Operators and Operator Lifecycle Manager (OLM)
- Ingress and NetworkPolicies
- Persistent Volumes (PV), Persistent Volume Claims (PVC), and StorageClasses
- Horizontal Pod Autoscaling (HPA) and scaling strategies
- Experience with OpenShift cluster troubleshooting and health monitoring.
- Knowledge of OpenShift security and policy enforcement.
- Experience supporting OpenShift upgrades, patching, and cluster maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a 24×7 rotational shift environment.
- Good communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualification
Any Graduate in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
The Following Certification Is Mandatory
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or
- Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration (EX280)
Experience working in enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud, containerization, and BFSI environments will be an added advantage.
