Role Description The Technical Specialist – E-Waste, EPR & WEEE is a full-time remote role responsible for supporting clients with technical guidance and compliance related to electronic waste, Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), and Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). Day-to-day tasks include assessing client processes and documentation, interpreting regulatory requirements, and advising on best practices for e-waste management and product lifecycle responsibilities. The role involves conducting technical reviews, troubleshooting compliance issues, and preparing clear reports and recommendations for internal teams and external stakeholders. The Technical Specialist will collaborate closely with quality control and customer service teams to resolve technical queries, provide ongoing support, and help implement sustainable e-waste and WEEE strategies. This position requires proactive communication, structured problem-solving, and a strong focus on service quality and regulatory alignment.
Qualifications
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret EPR and WEEE regulations, assess technical data, and evaluate compliance risks.
  • Effective communication skills for explaining complex technical and regulatory concepts clearly to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and technical support to diagnose and resolve issues related to e-waste processes, documentation, and systems.
  • Customer service skills to manage client inquiries, provide timely responses, and maintain professional relationships in a remote environment.
  • Knowledge of e-waste management, environmental compliance, and sustainability practices; prior experience with EPR/WEEE frameworks is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setup, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Relevant technical or engineering qualification (e.g., degree or diploma in environmental science, engineering, or a related field) preferred.
  • Experience in quality control, compliance, or auditing within environmental or industrial sectors is beneficial.
