Job Description
OrangeCarrot Media is a full-funnel growth agency running SEO, paid media, lifecycle marketing, and analytics for a portfolio of US clients. We're hiring a Technical SEO Specialist to own the technical and on-page health of client sites, end to end.
What you'll own:
- Full technical SEO audits: crawl issues, sitemaps, robots.txt, canonicals, hreflang, indexing, render/JS issues, Core Web Vitals
- On-page structure: title tags, meta descriptions, heading hierarchy (H1/H2), FAQ blocks
- Internal linking: cluster mapping, anchor text strategy, orphan page detection
- Schema/structured data implementation across page templates
- Diagnosing issues using GSC, Ahrefs/Semrush, and crawl tools, then actually fixing them, not just writing tickets for a developer
Must-haves:
- 2+ years hands-on technical SEO experience (agency preferred)
- Can independently run and interpret an audit from GSC + Ahrefs/Semrush + a crawler (Screaming Frog or similar)
- Solid grasp of on-page fundamentals and schema/structured data concepts
- Comfortable learning and operating AI-assisted tools to execute fixes (training provided if you haven't used Claude Code specifically)
- Can prioritize findings by actual ranking/traffic impact, not just by audit-tool severity score
Disqualifiers:
- Only comfortable producing audit reports and handing them to a developer
- No judgment on which fixes matter vs. which are cosmetic
- Expects to fix things by trial and error without understanding the underlying cause
Logistics:
- Full-time, in-office Kondapur, Hyderabad
- Night Shift
- Reports into the SEO lead; works cross-functionally with content and paid media
- Start: ASAP
- To apply: Send a short note to [Confidential Information], no template cover letter with subject line Technical SEO Specialist: [Your Name]. Include: (1) A short write-up of one technical SEO issue you've diagnosed and fixed, redact the client name, URL, and exact numbers. What was broken, how you found it, what you did, and how you confirmed it worked., and (2) your honest read on this post, what excites you, what concerns you and whether you are ok for the night shift.
