The company provides both sales and service solutions, handling service and repair jobs across the entire Alfa Laval product portfolio.. The organization focuses on reliable technical expertise, responsive customer support, and long-term client partnerships in industrial and process engineering sectors.
Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Technical Sales Engineer role based in Kanpur. The Technical Sales Engineer will be responsible for generating and managing sales opportunities for Alfa Laval Plate Heat Exchangers, Oil Purification System, Decanter Centrifuge including prospecting, qualifying leads and closing orders. The role involves providing technical support to customers by understanding their process requirements, selecting suitable products, preparing basic technical proposals, and coordinating with internal teams and OEMs when needed. The position includes regular customer visits, product demonstrations, and participation in meetings to address technical queries and commercial terms. The Technical Sales Engineer will also follow up on service and repair jobs, support after-sales activities, maintain accurate records in CRM or sales tracking tools, and prepare periodic sales and market reports.
Qualifications

  • Strong Technical Sales and Sales Engineering skills, including lead generation, solution-based selling, and proposal preparation.
  • Ability to provide effective Technical Support, including basic troubleshooting, application advice, and coordination with service teams.
  • Clear and professional Communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of industrial equipment such as Plate Heat Exchangers, Centrifugal Separators, Decanters, or related process equipment is highly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical,, Refrigeration ,Chemical, or related Engineering discipline (or equivalent technical experience)..
  • Knowledge of Amonia refrigeration System
  • Proven experience in B2B sales within industrial, process, or engineering sectors is an advantage.
  • Strong customer-focused mindset, with the ability to build long-term relationships and manage multiple accounts.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and basic familiarity with CRM or sales tracking systems.
  • Willingness to travel within the region for customer visits, site assessments, and service coordination.
