Sales Engineer / Manager (Heat Pumps & Heat Recovery Applications)
Job Qualification
- B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical, Energy, or equivalent.
- 512 years of sales experience in HVACR/Heat Pump/Energy Efficiency domain.
- Strong technical knowledge of heat pumps, heat recovery systems, hybrid/solar-assisted applications, and decarbonization solutions.
- Network with consultants, EPCs, MEP contractors, industrial clients, hospitality, healthcare, and commercial facility owners.
Soft Skills Required
- Excellent communication & presentation skills for techno-commercial proposals.
- Strong negotiation, closing ability, and relationship-building with consultants & clients.
- Strategic thinking to position heat pumps as part of energy transition and decarbonization goals.
- Ability to analyze competitor offerings and market opportunities.
- Self-driven with strong documentation and CRM discipline.
Job Description
- Generate enquiries from consultants, EPCs, contractors, OEMs, and direct clients.
- Prepare techno-commercial proposals, ROI analysis, and BOQ validation for heat pump and heat recovery applications.
- Drive sales in industrial process heating, commercial hot water, pharma, hospitality, hospitals, food processing, IT/ITES cooling integration, and cold storage segments.
- Achieve defined sales targets and establish Tetra as a preferred heat pump brand in Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 cities.
- Work with consultants to specify Tetra solutions in greenfield and retrofit projects.
- Educate stakeholders on ESCO/EaaS/Green Finance models for heat pump adoption.
- Maintain CRM pipeline with at least 3x ratio of quotations to bookings.
- Ensure collections as per company credit policy.
Ideal Expectations
- Daily: Client calls, follow-ups, CRM updates, consultant connect.
- Weekly: Presentations with consultants, industry webinars, contractor/OEM meetings, competitor tracking.
- Monthly: Review of revenue achievement, pipeline growth, and strategic tie-ups; publish market intelligence reports.
KPIs & Success Metrics
- Order booking vs. target achievement.
- Number of consultant approvals & project specifications secured.
- Conversion ratio of proposals to orders.
- Market penetration in new application segments (industrial + commercial).
- On-time collection of receivables.
- Contribution to brand visibility through events, exhibitions, and publications.
