Job Description

Job Title: Technical Sales Engineer

Department: Sales, Pre-Sales, Solutions

Location: Noida, UP (Hybrid)

Shift: IST, with overlap for US/Canada client calls as needed

Reporting To: Head of Sales

Role Summary:

NR Digital 360 is hiring a Technical Sales Engineer who can own pre-sales, solution discovery, demos, proposals, and technical-commercial closure support. You will work closely with delivery teams across IT infrastructure, cloud, networking, cybersecurity, AMC, and application development to design the right solution and convert opportunities into revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical discovery calls, understand current environment, pain points, and success criteria.
  • Translate requirements into solution architecture (high-level), scope, timelines, and commercials with delivery input.
  • Create client-ready documents: solution brief, proposal, SOW, BOM, timeline, assumptions, exclusions, SLAs.
  • Present solutions confidently to CXOs, IT Managers, Admin, and procurement stakeholders.
  • Support demos and POCs where applicable (cloud, monitoring, endpoint, security, network).
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders, sales, engineers, vendors, OEMs, for accurate costing and feasibility.
  • Respond to RFPs, RFIs, and security/compliance questionnaires with technical accuracy.
  • Maintain CRM hygiene: deal stages, notes, next steps, and forecast accuracy.
  • Ensure clean handoff to delivery, with documented scope and expectations to avoid rework.
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts (AMC to cloud, cloud to security, networking to managed services).

Solutions You Will Sell:

  • IT Infrastructure Setup and Support (LAN, WiFi, firewall, switching, cabling, server room)
  • IT AMC and Managed Services (remote and onsite support, endpoint management, monitoring)
  • Cloud Services (Azure, AWS, M365, migrations, backup, DR)
  • Networking Services (design, implementation, SD-WAN support)
  • Cybersecurity and Data Protection (baseline hardening, policies, endpoint, identity, security hygiene)
  • CCTV and Access Control
  • Website and Application Development
  • Procurement and Asset Lifecycle (laptops, desktops, servers, peripherals)

Success Metrics (KPIs):

  • Qualified pipeline created and influenced (monthly, quarterly)
  • Win rate, conversion from discovery to proposal to closure
  • Proposal quality: accuracy, minimal scope creep, minimal rework post handoff
  • Sales cycle time and average deal size improvements
  • Revenue from new logos and account expansion
  • Client satisfaction during pre-sales and first 30 days of delivery

Required Experience and Skills:

  • 3 to 7 years in technical pre-sales, solution engineering, or technical sales for IT services, MSP, or system integrator.
  • Strong working knowledge of at least 3 areas: networking, cloud, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, endpoint management, IT support operations.
  • Ability to create scope documents, proposals, SOWs, and BOMs with clear assumptions and exclusions.
  • Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills, including procurement conversations.
  • Comfort with OEM and vendor coordination for pricing, authorization, and delivery timelines.
  • Good commercial awareness: margin, SLAs, payment terms, warranty, AMC constructs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience selling managed services, AMC, cloud migrations, or infrastructure projects in India, US, or global markets.
  • Familiarity with tools like Zoho CRM/HubSpot/Salesforce, MS Office, and proposal templates.
  • Working understanding of security basics: MFA, IAM, endpoint protection, backups, logging, basic compliance hygiene.
  • Certification is a plus: Azure fundamentals, AWS CCP, ITIL, CCNA, or security fundamentals.
