About the Role
We are not hiring a salesperson who learned IoT. We are hiring an engineer who can sell.
You will own the revenue engine for Calypsion's Industry 4.0 solutions, walking real shop floors, installing gateways, running pilots, and closing annual contracts with mid-scale Indian manufacturers. You will work directly with the founder, influence the product roadmap, and build the sales function from scratch.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue & Sales Ownership
- Own end-to-end sales cycle: prospecting, qualification, demo, proposal, closure
- - Drive B2B enterprise sales across manufacturing, infrastructure, and process industries
- - Build and manage a strong pipeline of high-value industrial clients
Solution Selling (Core Expectation)
- Understand client operations, downtime issues, and inefficiencies
- - Map business problems to technical solutions (IoT, AI, automation, digital twin)
- - Deliver high-impact demos, ROI-driven proposals, and consultative sales pitches
Strategic Growth & Market Development
- Identify target segments (SMEs, factories, industrial parks, etc.)
- - Define go-to-market (GTM) strategy for India
- - Build partnerships with system integrators, OEMs, and automation vendors
- - Represent the company at industry events, expos, and client meetings
Startup Leadership Role
- Work closely with founders on pricing, product-market fit, and positioning
- - Provide customer feedback to product and engineering teams
- - Help build and mentor the future sales team
Required Skills & Experience
Must-Have
- 3 to 6 years of experience in B2B technical sales (Industrial IoT, Automation, SCADA, MES, or SaaS for manufacturing)
- - Strong understanding of industrial environments:
- - PLC / SCADA systems
- - Manufacturing processe
- - Industrial communication protocols
- - Proven track record of:
- - Closing enterprise deals
- - Handling long sales cycles
- - Selling high-value technical solutions
Technical Strength
- Ability to understand and explain:
- - IoT architecture (devices, edge, cloud)
- - Predictive maintenance / analytics
- - Digital transformation use cases
- - Comfortable engaging with:
- - Plant heads
- - Operations managers
- - CXOs

- Highly self-driven and ownership-oriented
