Technical Sales Agronomist | Agriplast Protected Cultivation

About Us

Agriplast Protected Cultivation is a greenhouse manufacturing company in India that builds large-scale commercial greenhouse farms. Our range consists of Polyhouse, Greenhouse, Net Houses and Poly tunnels.

Role Overview

We're hiring a Technical Sales Agronomist with deep expertise in greenhouse farming to drive solution-based sales across our customer base. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 5 years experience, strong agronomic knowledge, and hands-on exposure to working in greenhouse farms (must-have).

In this role, you'll bridge agronomy with sales, advising farmers on crop practices, demonstrating ROI from greenhouse systems, and driving adoption of protected cultivation. You'll partner closely with customers, sales teams, and leadership to design crop-specific solutions, deliver technical advisory, and achieve revenue growth targets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Business Development

  • Identify, pursue, and close new opportunities in protected cultivation.
  • Drive adoption of greenhouse structures, climate-control systems, and accessories.
  • Manage sales funnel and achieve regional revenue targets.

2. Agronomy Advisory & Support

  • Provide technical guidance on crop management, fertigation, pest/disease control, and climate strategies within greenhouses.
  • Conduct field visits and crop audits, offering practical recommendations to growers.
  • Create agronomy-led solution packages tailored to customer needs and local climates.

3. Demonstrations & Training

  • Lead farmer workshops, demonstrations, and training sessions on greenhouse operations.
  • Build strong relationships with customers by showing ROI-driven outcomes.

4. Collaboration & Market Insights

  • Work cross-functionally with R&D, marketing, and sales teams to refine offerings.
  • Collect market intelligence on competitor products, customer needs, and adoption trends.
  • Prepare reports on sales performance and agronomic outcomes.

What We're Looking For

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years in agronomy in protected cultivation.

TechnicalKnowledge:

  • Hands-on exposure to greenhouse farming (must-have).
  • Strong knowledge of polyhouses, net houses, climate control, fertigation, and protected horticulture crops.

Education

  • B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Agriculture, Horticulture, or Agronomy

Skills

  • Strong advisory and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to design crop-specific packages with ROI justification.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

Mindset

  • Self-starter with entrepreneurial drive and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
