Job Description
To lead the Gurgaon Repair Centre, overseeing advanced diagnostics, repair engineering, and technology transfer for multi‑technology telecom hardware platforms (Fixed, Optical, IP, and legacy systems), with end‑to‑end ownership of complex PCB‑level troubleshooting, repair test system sustenance, and new product onboarding.
How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of telecom hardware across multiple domains:
- Optical transport systems (DWDM / OTN platforms)
- Fixed network platforms (Access / Broadband / FTTx)
- IP routing and switching hardware modules
- Legacy telecom platforms (including TDM-based systems)
- Conduct component-level (PCB) diagnostics, failure analysis, and repair validation.
- Lead technology transfer from OEM engineering / R&D.
- Establish and validate repair processes for new product introductions.
- Debug and maintain ATE / test equipment used for telecom board repair.
- Support cost reduction initiatives via repair in-sourcing and yield improvement in time critical projects.
- Mentor junior engineers and support structured knowledge transfer.
- Coordinate with global engineering teams / Repair Strategy teams.
- Support quality improvements, root cause analysis, and reliability enhancements.
Key Skills And Experience
You have:
- 15+ years of hands-on experience in PCB-level troubleshooting and component failure diagnostics across complex telecom hardware
- Telecom hardware architecture expertise across Optical, Fixed Networks, and IP Networking domains
- Hands-on lab & repair experience, including spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, protocol testers, and ATE/repair test benches
- Strong understanding of telecom standards, technologies, and hardware design concepts, including NPI / technology transfer for repair readiness
- Optical hardware repair expertise, including DWDM and coherent optics, with exposure to legacy platforms under maintenance support
- Multi-technology & product exposure, supporting 10+ product families, EMS partners, and global repair operations; experience in OEM telecom environments preferred
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics or Telecommunications Engineering
- Leadership & behavioral capabilities: mentoring engineers, strong analytical/troubleshooting mindset, comfort with ambiguity, and effective cross‑functional collaboration across global teams
