Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Technical Proposal Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of technical subjects and the ability to craft clear, concise, and compelling proposals for Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and other business opportunities. You will collaborate closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), project managers, and business development teams to ensure all technical content is accurately represented and aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and writehigh-quality technical contentfor proposals in response to RFPs, RFIs, and client solicitations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, includingengineers, project managers, and business development professionals, to gather relevant information.
  • Analyze RFP requirements to ensurecomplianceand alignment with client needs.
  • Edit and format content to ensureclarity, readability, and adherenceto company and industry standards.
  • Tailor proposals to reflecteach client's unique needsand technical requirements.
  • Manage proposal timelinesand ensure timely submission.
  • Conduct research onindustry trends, competitors, and client requirementsto enhance proposal competitiveness.
  • Work with graphic designers and other teams to integratevisuals, charts, and graphicsinto proposals.
  • Review and refine content provided by technical teams to ensure it isclient-ready and easily understandable.
  • Maintain and update arepository of templates, technical documents, and past proposal responsesfor future use.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degreein English, Communications, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experiencein technical writing, proposal writing, or a related field.
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills, with the ability to translatecomplex technical information into clear, concise content.
  • Experience usingproposal management tools and software(e.g., Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Word, or other content management systems).
  • Familiarity with theproposal lifecycle, including capture planning, bid/no-bid decision-making, and contract management processes.
  • Ability to workindependently and collaborativelyin a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
  • Excellentattention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity withindustry-specific technical terminology(e.g., IT, engineering, government contracting).

Preferred Skills

  • APMP Certificationor other Proposal Writing certifications.
  • Experience responding togovernment RFPs and contracting requirements.
  • Knowledge ofcloud computing, software development, cybersecurity, data services, Salesforce, or other technical disciplines.
