Job responsibilities:
- Manages embedded system development projects, hardware and/or firmware projects
- Ability to drive technically and has rich experience in all stages of project development lifecycle
- Works closely with external clients and communicate at all levels
- Hands-on experience in solutioning, technical proposal and responding to RFPs, delivering presentations, solution demos to the prospective clients, effort estimation as well as supporting the commercial team in preparing commercial offers/ proposals.
- Define scope, develop project Plan, risk management and other requirements as per organization and/or client QMS process
- Ensure teams fulfil SOW commitments across all applicable functions.
- Foresee and highlight major risks and apply contingency plans in time
- Responsible for maintaining design data (code, issue, spec, BOM, gerber, schematics, etc.).
- Contributes in design review viz. code, schematics, BOM etc. to ensure the deliverables have fulfilled acceptance criteria of customer.
Support hiring, business activities, and other relevant tasks assigned
Required Skills:
- Understanding of project management concepts, methodologies, and associated tools
- Project planning and tracking capability using Microsoft Project
- Experience in architecture definition, detailed design & complete product (hardware / firmware) development cycle
- Knowledge of embedded hardware design, development, and manufacturing processes in compliance with IEC60601-x, 610110
- Familiarity with embedded communication protocols (SPI, I2C, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, BT)
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance testing including EMC/EMI, Environmental, CE, UL, etc.
- Positive & proactive attitude with excellent leadership qualities and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication (written / oral) and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to efficiently resolve team conflicts & roadblocks
Experience in customer relationship & Stakeholder management, should be able to set & manage customer expectations.
Desirable Skills:
PMP certification preferred
Experience in high-speed design
Knowledge of Design for excellence viz. DFT, DFM, DFA
Experience in Embedded system firmware development and use of development tools such as compilers, debuggers, static analyzers etc.
Qualification:
Graduation in Electronics / Electrical & Electronics / Electronics & Communication Engineering or equivalent
Expected Experience:
- Min. 10 years of experience in NPD/NPI and sustenance engineering with at least 3 years in medical or similar industry
2 years of Project Management in embedded systems development
