Job Description

Job Title: Technical Project Manager (AI, Data & Cloud)

Location: Hybrid - Kochi

Experience: 9+ year

Job Summary

We are hiring a Technical Project Manager with Data Science experience who can code, architect, and build — not just coordinate. This is a hands-on technical leadership role for someone who has grown from developer or solution architect into delivery leadership.

The ideal candidate will own end-to-end technical delivery, actively participate in architecture decisions, code reviews, and solution design, and lead teams building scalable, cloud-native, AI- and data-driven systems. If you have experience delivering AI, data analytics, or ML-enabled platforms while adhering to strong engineering practices, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own technical delivery end to end — planning, architecture, sprint execution, QA, deployment, and post-release stability.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, cloud-ready solutions, including AI and data analytics components.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to design system architecture, APIs, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Actively step in hands-on when needed — performing architecture reviews, prototyping, PoCs, code reviews, and contributing technically to unblock teams and ensure delivery.
  • Act as the technical escalation point for engineering, DevOps, QA, data, and product teams.
  • Lead delivery of AI/ML, data analytics, or reporting solutions, ensuring performance, reliability, and data integrity.
  • Implement and enforce Agile/Scrum practices that deliver real business value at speed.
  • Create and maintain project plans, technical documentation, risk logs, and delivery metrics.
  • Work closely with clients, stakeholders, and leadership to align business objectives with technical execution.

Minimum Requirements

  • 9+ years of IT experience, with 3+ years in project, delivery, or technical program management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology (B.Tech / BE / BS in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related technical discipline) is mandatory
  • Strong technical background with prior experience as a Developer, Solution Architect, or Tech Lead.
  • Proven ability to design systems, review code, and understand full-stack architecture (hands-on experience is a strong plus).
  • Experience delivering AI, data analytics, or data-driven platforms, including dashboards, analytics pipelines, or ML-enabled features.
  • Experience with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) or analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
  • Solid understanding of data architectures, such as data warehouses, data lakes, ETL/ELT pipelines, and analytics workflows.
  • AWS Cloud Certification (minimum: AWS Cloud Practitioner; Associate or Professional preferred).
  • Experience with modern tech stacks:
  • Backend: Node.js, Python, Java, .NET
  • Frontend: React, Angular, Vue
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).
  • Experience working with DevOps and MLOps workflows is a strong plus.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies, with hands-on use of Jira, Azure DevOps (ADO), or similar tools.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills — able to bridge business, engineering, and data teams.
  • Experience working directly with US-based clients and stakeholders, including overlap with US time zones and participation in technical discussions, planning, and delivery governance.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to big data technologies (Spark, Kafka, Airflow, Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery).
  • Familiarity with multi-cloud environments (Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with microservices, serverless architecture, and event-driven systems.
  • Background in product development environments or startup culture.
  • Experience in budgeting, resource planning, and delivery forecasting.
  • Prior experience delivering solutions in Oil & Gas, Energy, or Utilities domains, including data platforms, analytics, operational systems, or digital transformation initiatives.

What We Offer

  • Work on impactful, AI- and data-driven projects with real engineering ownership.
  • A team of strong developers, architects, data engineers, and PMs who value tech-first leadership.
  • Performance-based growth with opportunities to move into senior leadership roles.
  • Flexible work culture focused on outcomes, quality, and delivery excellence.
