Technical Project Manager (Presales & GTM)

Your core responsibilities:

  • Work Breakdown Structure: Take messy client requirements and decompose them into logical phases, features, and deliverables. You create the WBS that delivery executes from.
  • Feature & Sub-Feature Decomposition: Break down complex solutions into features sub-features tasks. Map dependencies. Identify critical path. Show what gets built in Phase 1 vs. Phase 2+.
  • Scope Boundary Setting: Define crystal-clear in scope vs. out of scope. Write acceptance criteria so there's no ambiguity about what done looks like. Prevent scope creep.
  • Effort Estimation: Estimate labor hours by role (Engineers, QA, DevOps, Data Scientists). Account for complexity, testing, rework. Get it 10% accurate within 6 months.
  • Cost Modeling: Build total cost models (labor + infrastructure + tools + contingency). Calculate proposal pricing. Protect margins. Identify cost drivers.
  • Timeline & Sequencing: Assess feasibility within our 30-100 day delivery windows. Create sprint-based roadmaps with milestones and go/no-go gates. Ensure delivery can execute without constant clarification.
  • Technical Feasibility Assessment: Identify integration risks early. Spot what's risky. Recommend mitigations. Validate the solution is actually buildable.
  • Functional Specifications:Write BRDs and Technical Design Documents that both clients and engineers understand. Be the translator between business and technical.

Who you are:

  • 2-3 years in technical project management, presales, delivery scoping, solutions architecture, or business analysis
  • Experience decomposing complex solutions into executable work packages
  • Comfortable building cost models and effort estimates
  • Track record of creating clear, boundary-setting documentation
  • AI-based SaaS familiarity (not required, but helpful)
  • Understands Agile/Sprint methodologies
  • Ownership mindset you own accuracy, you own delivery readiness.

The reality of the role:

  • You work 55-60 hour weeks during active deal pursuit phases
  • Your estimates are checked against actual delivery
  • You're making calls with incomplete information, ambiguity is normal
  • You collaborate with US-based teams (10 pm-midnight calls happen)
  • You'll ship 3-5 active scopes at different stages simultaneously
  • Scope changes frequently, you adapt and re-estimate
