Summary
The Project Technical Manager is responsible for leading the technical execution of IT infrastructure and system integration projects while ensuring successful delivery within scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards. The role provides technical leadership to project teams, manages subcontractors, and supports project implementation from planning through commissioning.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Project Manager and engineering teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with contractual requirements
- Lead technical implementation activities, including system configuration, database setup, software installation, and system commissioning
- Provide technical support and administration for IT infrastructure, including Microsoft Windows, Linux servers, networking, and enterprise systems
- Configure, install, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, network, and system-related issues
- Support the design, configuration, and deployment of network infrastructure, including switches and other network devices
- Lead system integration activities, including Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and production deployment
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, and knowledge transfer to engineers and site teams
- Manage project documentation, technical deliverables, change requests, and engineering records
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and project teams to ensure quality and timely project execution
- Plan, facilitate, and present technical and project meetings with internal and external stakeholders
- Monitor project progress, identify technical risks, and provide regular status updates to the Project Manager.
- Work closely with software development teams to ensure seamless system integration and successful site implementation
- Ensure compliance with organizational standards, cybersecurity requirements, and project quality procedures
Job Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, IT Security, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems integration, or enterprise technology projects.
- Proven experience managing technical implementation, system deployment, and project coordination.
- Experience working with contractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Strong knowledge of: Microsoft Windows Server and Windows Operating Systems, Linux Operating Systems, Networking concepts, network switches, and TCP/IP, SQL databases and SQL Server Management Studio and System configuration and deployment
- Experience with: Cybersecurity principles and best practices, Vulnerability assessment and system hardening, Software development lifecycle and system integration, Access control systems, CCTV, key management systems, card readers, and security solutions and Project documentation and implementation procedures
