The opportunity:

As a Project Manager, you will be part of Indian Operation Center, India (INOPC-PG), aiming to develop a global value chain, where key business activities, resources, and expertise are shared across geographic boundaries to optimize value for Hitachi Energy customers across markets. As part of Transformers BU, we provide high-quality engineering and Technology to Hitachi Energy world. This is an important step from Hitachi Energy's Global Footprint strategy.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Own the global software development lifecycle from planning to deployment. Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables aligned with business goals.

  • Collaborate closely with senior architects to ensure technical feasibility and design integrity.

  • Engage with regional teams and business leaders to manage expectations and ensure smooth transition.

  • Plan and execute phased rollouts across global locations. Oversee migration from legacy/local applications to the new platform.

  • Drive user adoption through training, communication, and support. Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.

  • Provide regular updates to leadership on progress, risks, and key milestones.

  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, or related discipline and at least 10+ years of related working experience.

  • Proven experience in global project management for software development and deployment.

  • Strong understanding of software architecture and enterprise application integration.

  • Ability to manage multi-location rollouts and change management initiatives. PMP or PRINCE2 preferred.

  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies. Proactive problem-solving and process optimization approach.

  • Strong analytical thinking and systematic troubleshooting abilities. Capability to formalize operational knowledge and transfer expertise to team members.

  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
