Participate in DFM kick-off and follow through the DFM process closely with Penang design and project teams.
Act as the early technical interface to understand customer expectations, process requirements, and risk areas.
Review machine concept, mechanical/electrical/control design readiness, IOSM, timing charts, and working instructions.
Provide practical onsite feedback (based on site constraints and customer standards) before machine shipment.
Identify technical gaps, potential integration risks, and escalate concerns early.
Support internal design reviews, FAT preparation, and shipment readiness discussions.
Align with Field Service planning for anticipated onsite support scope.
Serve as the primary onsite technical liaison with the customer throughout Demo, EVT, AB, ramp, and post-launch phases.
Participate directly in machine setup, fine alignment, testing, debugging, and commissioning.
Provide continuous troubleshooting and problem resolution for mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
Support Demo machine SAT, EVT, AB builds, and production ramp to ensure machines meet specifications.
Assist in IO checks, process validation, and tool setup.
Coordinate real-time issue escalation and solution implementation with Penang design/project teams.
Facilitate technical discussions, project briefings, and operator/maintenance training at key milestones.
Monitor project progress, highlight risks/delays, and escalate promptly to stakeholders.
Participate in post-mortem reviews, continuous improvement initiatives, and ECR implementation.
Support warranty and post-launch technical service onsite together with the Field Service Team as required.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automation, or equivalent experience & field.
At least 5 years of professional experience in machine installation, commissioning, and onsite technical support preferred, with soft-skill project management, product design & development.
Hands-on experience with automation machinery, mechanical/electrical systems, and process tools
Ability to troubleshoot and debug machines onsite independently.
Strong project coordination and communication with remote design and project teams.
Experience with FAT/SAT, commissioning, and production ramp support.
Problem-solving, detail-oriented, and proactive under high-pressure situations.
Ability to lead onsite technical discussions and training sessions.
