Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Technical Project Manager to lead data-intensive projects, ensuring the successful delivery of solutions involving data migration, reporting, and cloud architecture. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Airflow, ODS architecture, and reporting platforms, and the ability to bridge the gap between business goals and technical execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end project lifecycle including planning, execution, delivery, and monitoring.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Manage large-scale data migration and transformation projects with strong adherence to timelines and data integrity.
- Oversee the design and implementation of ODS (Operational Data Store) architecture.
- Guide the development and deployment of ingestion pipelines using Python and Airflow.
- Coordinate with data engineers and BI teams to ensure accurate, insightful, and timely reporting solutions.
- Ensure alignment between technical solutions and business needs.
- Monitor risks, resolve issues proactively, and manage project changes effectively.
- Prepare and present project status reports and stakeholder communications.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in coding, security, documentation, and deployment.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5+ years in technical project management roles.
- Proven experience in PostgreSQL, including schema design, performance tuning, and data modeling.
- Strong understanding of data migration methodologies and tools.
- Hands-on experience with Python scripting, especially for ETL processes.
- Expertise in Apache Airflow for orchestration and automation of workflows.
- Solid understanding of ODS architecture and implementation strategies.
- Experience with reporting and visualization platforms (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS preferred), including services like S3, RDS, and EC2.
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and DevOps practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum certification.
- Experience working in Agile and hybrid delivery models.
- Familiarity with data governance and data security best practices.
- Exposure to big data tools like Spark, Kafka, etc., is a plus.
- Experience in leading distributed or remote teams.
