About the Role
We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to join Mindbowser and work closely with one of our US-based healthcare technology clients. This role acts as the operational backbone of a 20-person engineering organization, supporting senior engineering leadership and ensuring smooth execution across teams.
This is not a traditional Scrum Master or Agile Coach role. Instead, it is a highly hands-on, execution-focused position for someone who ensures that engineering operations run like a well-oiled machinesprints are planned and tracked accurately, tools reflect reality, documentation stays current, and nothing falls through the cracks.
You will work across engineering, product, DevOps, and customer-facing teams, helping maintain visibility, coordination, and accountability in a fast-moving startup environment. You'll also be expected to roll up your sleeveswhether that's updating a runbook, coordinating a release dependency, or simply getting things done because they need to be done.
What You'll Do
Sprint & Project Coordination
- Ensure Jira work items are accurate, current, and aligned with actual engineering work.
- Facilitate sprint planning, retrospectives, demos, and reviews.
- Ensure engineering ceremonies are documented, actionable, and outcome-driven.
Change & Release Management
- Coordinate downstream updates when work shipsdocumentation, runbooks, release notes, Confluence pages, service catalogs, etc.
- Work with SMEs across engineering, DevOps, and customer-facing teams to keep systems and documentation in sync.
Process Stewardship
- Maintain and continuously improve SDLC and CI/CD processes.
- Identify gaps, propose improvements, and help establish frameworks where processes are still evolving.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Act as a connector across Engineering, Product Management, Product Operations, DevOps, and Customer Success.
- Support mobile app release processes and other operational workflows when applicable
- Maintain high visibility with client leadership and Mindbowser stakeholders.
Meeting & Ceremony Enablement
- Ensure standups, planning sessions, demos, and reviews happen on timeeven when senior leaders are unavailable.
- Track follow-ups, decisions, and action items to completion.
Tooling, Automation & AI Enablement
- Drive efficiency through better use of tooling (Atlassian suite, GitHub, cloud platforms).
- Explore and implement AI-assisted workflows for coordination, documentation, and automation.
- Contribute to initiatives like CI workflow improvements, dependency management, or reducing operational overhead.
What We're Looking For
- Mid-career professional with 8+ years experience in engineering operations, technical program management, or technical project coordination.
- Strong technical fluencycomfortable navigating GitHub, reviewing PRs, understanding CI/CD pipelines, and working in Jira & Confluence.
- You don't need to write production code, but you must understand how engineering teams work.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication, with confidence working with US-based stakeholders.
- Flexibility to work overlapping hours with US Eastern Time (upto noon) for key meetings.
- Demonstrated curiosity and hands-on experience with AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, AI-powered automation, LLM-assisted workflows).
Startup mindset: Comfortable with ambiguity, proactive, and energized by building processes rather than just following them.
Nice to Have
- Experience with mobile app release workflows (iOS App Store Connect, Google Play Console).
- Familiarity with GCP or other cloud platforms.
- Exposure to healthcare technology or regulated industries.
- Experience setting up or improving SDLC / CI-CD processes from scratch.
