Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Technical Program Manager to join our dynamic team in Pune. As a single-tracker owner, you will be responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of complex technology programs. This role requires a strong technical background coupled with proven program management skills, with a focus on quality and timely delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Program Ownership: Lead and manage end-to-end delivery of assigned programs, acting as the primary point of contact.
- Planning & Tracking: Develop detailed project plans, track progress, manage dependencies, and proactively identify and mitigate risks. Utilize tools like Blacklock for effective program visibility.
- Technical Leadership: Leverage your technical background to understand project complexities, contribute to technical discussions, and provide guidance to the development team. This role is heavily technical expect to spend approximately 65% of your time discussing technical aspects.
- Agile Methodology: Champion and implement Agile methodologies to ensure iterative development and rapid delivery of value.
- Quality Focus: Drive a culture of quality throughout the program lifecycle through code reviews, testing oversight, and adherence to established standards.
- KPI Monitoring: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure program success and identify areas for improvement.
- Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate program status, risks, and issues to stakeholders at all levels.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including development, testing, and DevOps.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process improvements and best practices within the program management organization.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field. A maximum of 15 years of overall experience.
- Technical Skills (Essential):
- Strong programming background with proficiency in at least one of the following: Java, C++, Python, or Matlab.
- Experience with Cloud technologies, particularly AWS.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies.
- Domain Experience: Automotive domain experience is preferred, but strong experience in a comparable enterprise domain (with the required technical skills) will be considered.
- Program Management Skills: Demonstrated experience in solution orientation, planning, tracking, and risk management.
- Background: Must have a background starting in development and transitioning into management we are looking for someone who understands technology deeply, not a purely administrative manager.
- Tools: Experience with project tracking tools (e.g., Blacklock, Jira) is highly desirable.
- Communication: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
