About The Job

A problem isn't truly solved until it's solved for all. That's why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You'll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.

Responsibilities

  • Use AI/ML technologies to independently manage improvements across programs. Serve as a channel between the Test Engineering teams, Engineering, Program Managers, UX, and Support.
  • Provide test program management during analysis, design, development, implementation, and post implementation launch phases. Lead and drive a cross-functional, cross-vertical test process to enable standardization, optimization, and/or transformation.
  • Engage with the engineering leaders, Product Management, UX and other Technical Program Managers, to streamline processes, simplify test execution, and bring tooling efficiencies. Coordinate end-to-end test development activities and dependencies across internal and external teams.
  • Run test programs at scale, manage multiple complex and ambiguous test programs, and highlight risks with clear mitigation plans.
  • Maintain and co-author technical documentation used for product test plans and test processes.
