Role SummaryEarnifi is seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to drive execution across multiple engineering and technical initiatives in a fast-moving fintech environment. This role will partner closely with Engineering, Product, Data, Underwriting and integration partner teams to ensure projects are planned, coordinated, and delivered successfully.
The TPM will help bring structure, visibility, and accountability to complex initiatives while maintaining the agility required in a growing startup. The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically curious, comfortable working through ambiguity, and capable of managing multiple concurrent projects without introducing unnecessary process or bureaucracy.
This role is well-suited for someone who enjoys solving problems, coordinating stakeholders, and helping teams execute effectively in an environment where priorities evolve and new challenges emerge regularly.
ResponsibilitiesProgram & Project Delivery- Lead execution of multiple concurrent technical projects and initiatives from planning through delivery.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and status reporting.
- Coordinate activities across internal and external partner teams
- Track deliverables, risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies across active projects.
- Facilitate project meetings, status reviews, and stakeholder communications.
- Proactively identify execution risks and drive resolution before they impact delivery.
Cross-Functional Coordination- Serve as a central point of coordination across technical and business teams.
- Ensure alignment between project objectives, priorities, and delivery commitments.
- Coordinate activities involving external vendors, technology partners, and service providers as needed.
- Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Escalate issues and blockers appropriately to maintain project momentum.
Process & Operational Excellence- Introduce lightweight processes and tools that improve visibility, accountability, and execution.
- Support planning activities, roadmap coordination, and delivery forecasting.
- Maintain project documentation, decision logs, and reporting artifacts.
- Help establish repeatable delivery practices appropriate for a scaling startup environment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts across engineering and technical operations.
Compliance & Risk Management- Coordinate technical initiatives involving security, compliance, audit, regulatory, or operational requirements.
- Ensure key stakeholders are engaged throughout project lifecycles.
- Track remediation efforts, control implementation activities, and compliance-related deliverables.
- Support audit readiness and documentation efforts as required.
QualificationsRequired- 3–6 years of experience in technical program management, project management, engineering operations, product operations, consulting, or related roles.
- Experience coordinating multiple concurrent projects involving cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational, planning, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycles and Agile delivery practices.
- Experience using project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Linear, Asana, or similar platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to create structure and drive execution in environments with limited formal processes.
Preferred- Experience in fintech, payments, banking, payroll, or other regulated industries.
- Experience coordinating initiatives involving security, compliance, audit, or regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with software development, APIs, cloud platforms, data systems, or modern software architectures.
- Experience working with distributed or remote engineering teams.
- Technical background in engineering, computer science, information systems, or a related discipline.
