The Technical Professional Instrumentation/Controls supports instrumentation and control engineering activities for industrial projects. The role focuses on instrument specification, data management, procurement support, and technical evaluation to ensure high-quality engineering deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain instrument index, IO lists, and instrument datasheets
- Develop Material Requisitions (MRs) for procurement of instrumentation and control equipment
- Conduct technical bid evaluations and provide recommendations for instrument selection
- Ensure instrumentation and control deliverables comply with project specifications, standards, and client requirements
- Support SPI (Smart Plant Instrumentation) or equivalent instrumentation engineering tools for design and documentation
- Collaborate with project engineering teams to ensure consistent and accurate instrument design data
- Assist in reviewing vendor submittals and technical documentation
- Support instrumentation and control engineering tasks from FEED through detailed design phases
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or allied Engineering
- 7 to 15 years of relevant experience in instrumentation and control engineering
- Hands-on experience in SPI or similar instrumentation engineering software
- Knowledge of instrumentation specification, datasheets, and Material Requisition processes
