Role Overview
We are building a modern Industrial IoT and manufacturing intelligence platform covering device data collection, OEE, energy monitoring, condition monitoring, dashboards, alerts, analytics, and AI-driven factory visibility.
We are looking for a Technical Product Owner who can go deep into product and technology, not just manage projects, people, or processes. The person should work closely with Principal Engineers, Business Analysts, Developers, QA, Designers, and business leadership to convert product vision into clear user stories, technical requirements, sprint plans, and successful releases.
This role requires strong technical understanding, product thinking, execution ownership, and the ability to bring clarity before development starts.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end product requirement lifecycle from idea, scoping, requirement gathering, user story creation, sprint execution, release, and post-launch review.
- Work closely with the Principal Engineer to understand system architecture, APIs, data models, integrations, edge-to-cloud communication, backend services, frontend behavior, database design, and technical dependencies.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts to convert business needs, customer pain points, factory workflows, and roadmap items into clear epics, user stories, workflows, acceptance criteria, validations, edge cases, and release notes.
- Create and maintain a well-prioritized product backlog with clear technical and business context for developers, QA, and design teams.
- Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily execution tracking, sprint reviews, retrospectives, release planning, and blocker resolution.
- Ensure developers receive requirements with enough clarity to estimate, build, test, and release without repeated confusion or rework.
- Coordinate with QA teams to define test scenarios, acceptance criteria, regression areas, edge cases, UAT scope, and release readiness.
- Act as the bridge between business leadership, Principal Engineers, BAs, developers, QA, and design teams by providing clear updates on roadmap progress, sprint status, risks, blockers, release scope, and delivery timelines.
- Identify product, technical, resource, timeline, and dependency risks early and work with the team to create practical mitigation plans.
- Maintain proper documentation in issue tracking tools & project management tools.
Required Skills and Experience
- 10+ years of experience in product ownership, technical product management, business analysis, technical project ownership, or software delivery roles.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle, Agile, Scrum, and Kanban delivery models.
- Ability to understand backend, frontend, database, API, infrastructure, cloud, integration, and system-level technical discussions.
- Strong experience in writing epics, user stories, functional specifications, workflow documents, acceptance criteria, and release plans.
- Ability to break complex product features into small, clear, executable engineering tasks.
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to translate business requirements into practical technical execution plans.
- Experience working with Principal Engineers, Architects, Developers, QA Engineers, Designers, and Business Analysts.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical and product trade-offs clearly to both leadership and engineering teams.
- Hands-on experience with Jira & Confluence
