We are seeking a highly motivated and adaptable Technical Product Owner to bridge the gap between our US-based client stakeholders and our offshore engineering teams.
In this role, the candidate will partner directly with the client's Product Manager & Engineering Director, & Engineering Manager to define, refine, and execute the product vision.
The candidate will act as the heartbeat of the offshore team—driving Agile ceremonies, ensuring backlog health, resolving dependencies, and keeping cross-functional teams (including QA and Release Management) perfectly aligned.
The candidate must thrive in a fast-paced retail technology environment and possess a strong blend of business acumen and technical fluency.
Key Responsibilities Product & Backlog Management, Partner with US-based client Product Managers to define high-level project plans, roadmaps, and release strategies.
Translate complex business and technical concepts into clear, actionable requirements.
Draft, refine, and manage high-quality Epics and User Stories, utilizing Epic-Story mapping techniques.
Maintain absolute clarity and health within the product backlog, ensuring priorities shift seamlessly with changing business or technical needs.
Agile Leadership & Delivery Lead and facilitate daily Scrum ceremonies, including stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Guide the technical team in estimating story points and capacity planning.
Actively identify, track, and resolve project dependencies to prevent development bottlenecks.
Drive project execution from development through to release, ensuring fast outcomes without compromising quality.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication Build strong consensus and manage expectations across offshore technical teams, client stakeholders, and third-party vendors.
Coordinate seamlessly with external client-side teams, including Release Management and Quality Assurance.
Deliver clear project reports, progress presentations, and data-driven insights to leadership teams.
Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance the end-customer experience.
Required Qualifications & Skills Overall industry experience of 10+ years with relevant experience of 3-4 years.
Domain Expertise: Proven experience operating within the retail and e-commerce sector, with a strong grasp of product-related frontend concepts.
Agile Proficiency: Deep practical knowledge of Scrum methodologies and iterative software development lifecycles.
Technical Aptitude: Foundational understanding of frontend and backend technical concepts to effectively support the engineering team.
Tool Mastery: Highly proficient in Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) and collaborative design platforms (Figma).
Data Fluency: Exposure to content management systems (CMS) and analytics tools, with the ability to interpret data-driven insights.
Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
Working Hours: Must overlap with US business hours in IST evenings.
