Position Overview

The company is looking for a Technical Product Manager to join its Bangalore engineering team and own the full product and engineering lifecycle for one of its flagship client platforms — from roadmap planning and sprint execution through QA and release. The role sits at the intersection of product management, technical planning, and engineering coordination, with close partnership with the engineering lead and client stakeholders. It is built for someone with genuine engineering depth who has made a deliberate move toward product and program ownership.

Role & Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end sprint execution — planning, stand-ups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives — for the client engineering team

• Translate high-level roadmap decisions into detailed technical plans, architecture proposals, and executable sprint items in collaboration with the engineering lead

• Write PRDs and technical specifications for platform initiatives including regression testing frameworks, infrastructure upgrades, and feature enhancements

• Serve as the primary operational point of contact for client stakeholders, managing timelines, status updates, and difficult conversations on scope

• Own triage and prioritisation of incoming support requests — assess urgency and impact, coordinate with the on-call engineering rota, and slot issues into the sprint backlog

• Own end-to-end QA for all features and fixes released to UAT and Production, defining test coverage expectations with engineers and signing off on releases

• Manage AI implementation workflows — coordinating priorities, timelines, and communication between clients and the AI and platform engineering teams

Must Have Criteria

• 8–12 years of experience in technical product management, engineering program management, or a combined engineering and product role

• Hands-on software or data systems development background — able to reason credibly about architecture, infrastructure, and engineering trade-offs

• Demonstrated experience independently running agile delivery: sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, and retrospectives

• Proven track record writing PRDs and technical specifications consumed directly by engineering teams

• Experience owning client or stakeholder relationships, including managing scope and timeline conversations

• Based in Bangalore with availability to overlap with US Eastern Time for key stakeholder touchpoints

Nice to Have

• Experience with data platforms, financial technology, or capital markets systems (positions, securities, market data, risk metrics)

• Familiarity with Python, SQL, Databricks, or Azure-based cloud data infrastructure

• Exposure to AI or ML product delivery — coordinating between engineering and business stakeholders on AI implementation

• Experience with QA processes and release management in a production environment

• Prior experience in a high-growth engineering services or product company
