We are seeking an accomplished Technical Project/Product Manager with 12+ years of progressive experience in the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) domain. The ideal candidate combines strong technology leadership, deep domain expertise, and endtoend product/program delivery capabilities. This role requires someone who can drive strategic initiatives, manage crossfunctional teams, and deliver scalable digital solutions that align with business goals, regulatory requirements, and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
Product & Strategy Leadership
- Define, refine, and execute product roadmaps aligned with BFSI business objectives.
- Translate market insights, regulatory trends, and customer needs into actionable product features.
- Drive strategic product decisions based on data analysis, customer behavior, and competitive intelligence.
Technical Program & Project Management
- Lead largescale, multiplatform technology initiatives across the BFSI ecosystem (payments, lending, core banking, insurance, risk/compliance, etc.).
- Oversee full SDLC deliveryscope definition, architecture discussions, sprint planning, execution, testing, deployment, and rollout.
- Ensure all programs adhere to regulatory frameworks (RBI, SEBI, IRDAI, PCI-DSS, ISO standards).
- Manage risks, dependencies, budgets, and timelines with transparency and precision.
CrossFunctional Collaboration
- Partner closely with engineering, architecture, data, compliance, operations, and business teams to align priorities.
- Influence key stakeholders using structured communication, strong domain understanding, and data-driven arguments.
- Coordinate vendor/partner engagements for technology integration, managed services, and thirdparty platforms.
Process Excellence & Governance
- Establish scalable delivery frameworks using Agile, SAFe, or hybrid methodologies.
- Implement robust governance models, quality gates, change management, and documentation standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across technology, processes, and customer experience.
Roles & Responsibilities
- 12+ years of experience in Technical Project Management and/or Product Management, primarily in BFSI.
- Strong understanding of banking & financial services processes such as:
- Digital payments, UPI, cards, wallets
- Core banking systems
- Lending & credit lifecycle management
- Risk, compliance, fraud & security
- Insurance workflows
- Proven experience delivering complex enterprise-scale technology programs.
- Solid technical foundation with ability to work with architects and engineering teams (APIs, microservices, cloud, integration patterns, data platforms).
- Expertise in project methodologies (Agile/Scrum/Kanban/SAFe) and tools (Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Azure DevOps).
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, executive reporting, and escalation handling.
- Experience building business cases, ROI models, product KPIs, and performance dashboards.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams through ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA, PGDM, or equivalent specialization in Technology, Finance, or Operations.
- Certifications such as PMP, CSM, PSPO, SAFe, PRINCE2, or CBAP.
- Experience with AI/ML implementations, cloud migrations, open banking, or digital transformation programs.
- Prior exposure to global BFSI environments or multicountry implementations.
